Q. Can I change my message or tribute after it has been published?
No, once a Group Laud has been published, contributors can no longer edit or remove their messages. The content becomes final and visible to the recipient. However, the card creator can manage message visibility through privacy settings.
Q. Can I suggest adding a contributor to a Group Laud?
Yes, but only if the card creator has enabled the “Allow Suggestions” option in Team Privacy Settings.
- Contributors can suggest a new contributor by clicking the suggest option.
- The card creator will receive an email notification and see the suggested contributor under The Team section.
- The card creator can approve the suggestion using the yellow thumb icon.
- Currently, there is no option to decline suggestions.
Q. Can I remove a contributor from a Group Laud?
No, once a contributor has added a message, they cannot be removed from the card. However, the card creator can manage message visibility if needed.
Free vs Purchased Lauds
Q. Who can turn a Free Laud into a Premium Laud?
Anyone from the card creator, contributors, or the recipient can upgrade a Free Laud to a Premium Laud.
- The upgrade can be purchased through the LaudWords Shop.
- Upgrading a Laud unlocks Premium Features such as no expiry, unlimited contributors, and enhanced privacy settings.
Q. Limitations of free Lauds?
Free Group Lauds have a 14-day lifetime and support up to 10 contributors. Some premium features, such as additional privacy settings, unlimited contributors, and exporting options, are only available in Premium Lauds.
Q. Free Laud expiry times?
Free Group Lauds last up to 14 days:
- The Laud must be published within 7 days of creation.
- Once published, it remains accessible for another 7 days.
- After 14 days, the Laud expires and is no longer accessible to the creator or recipient.
Q. What happens to my purchased license if I delete my account?
Your Premium Laud license remains active, even if you delete your account.
- The license was sent to your registered email at the time of purchase.
- You can use the same email to redeem the license on another LaudWords account.
- If you experience issues, contact customer support for assistance.
Q. Payment options?
Premium Lauds can be purchased using credit cards, debit cards, and digital payment methods. The availability of payment options depends on the user’s region and payment provider support.
Q. Refund policy?
All Premium Laud purchases are final and non-refundable. However, if there is an issue with your purchase (e.g., payment failure, duplicate charges), you can contact customer support for assistance.
Data and Privacy
Q. Can everyone on a Group Laud see my message or only the Laud recipient?
By default, all contributors and the recipient can see messages on a Group Laud. However, contributors can set their message visibility to:
- Open (Visible to everyone)
- Card Viewers (Only visible to those viewing the card)
- Private (Only visible to the recipient)
The card creator can also set View Privacy Settings to further control message visibility.

Q. What happens to contact information and personal selections we include on a Group Laud?
Your email address and profile name are used to send and receive invitations. If you provide additional information (e.g., gift suggestions, reference letters), it will be stored securely and only visible to the recipient or contributors, based on privacy settings.
Q. How is my data handled?
LaudWords follows strict data protection policies. All data, including messages, media, and personal details, is securely stored and encrypted. Expired Lauds are automatically deleted after 14 days unless upgraded to Premium, which allows indefinite storage.
Q. How long do deleted cards remain visible?
If Hide Deleted Cards is disabled, deleted Lauds will remain visible in My Lauds for a temporary period before being fully removed.
If Hide Deleted Cards is enabled, they will disappear immediately from view.
Q. Will I receive notifications via email or only in-app?
Currently, Invitations and Suggestions notifications are sent via email and in-app. Reminders are typically in-app only.
