Suggesting the Crowd

Suggesting a New Crowd

In LaudWords, contributors can suggest additional people to be invited to a Laud Crowd, provided that the card creator has enabled the “Allow Suggestions” crowd privacy setting.

When this setting is turned on:

  • Contributors will see an option to suggest new crowd.
  • The card creator receives an email notification whenever a new contributor is suggested.
  • The card creator can review and approve the suggestion from the card settings.

How to Suggest The Crowd

If “Allow Suggestions” is enabled on a Laud Crowd, contributors can follow these steps:

  1. While adding a tribute, click “Suggest a Contributor”.
  2. Enter the email address of the person you’d like to invite.
  3. Click Submit Suggestion.

Once submitted:

  • The card creator receives an email notification about the suggestion.
  • The suggested contributor appears in the “The Crowd” section (Step 5 of card setup).

How the Card Creator Approves Suggestions

  1. The card creator receives an email with the suggested contributor’s details.
  2. In the 5th step of card setups (“The Crowd”), the card creator can see all suggested contributors.
  3. To approve, they click the yellow thumb icon next to the suggested email.
  4. If approved, the suggested contributor will receive an invitation email to join the card.

Note: At this time, there is no option to decline a suggestion.

Important Notes

  • The “Allow Suggestions” setting must be enabled for this feature to be available.
  • Only the card creator can approve suggested contributors.
  • Suggested contributors do not automatically gain access—they must be manually approved.
