Suggesting a New Crowd
In LaudWords, contributors can suggest additional people to be invited to a Laud Crowd, provided that the card creator has enabled the “Allow Suggestions” crowd privacy setting.
When this setting is turned on:
- Contributors will see an option to suggest new crowd.
- The card creator receives an email notification whenever a new contributor is suggested.
- The card creator can review and approve the suggestion from the card settings.

How to Suggest The Crowd
If “Allow Suggestions” is enabled on a Laud Crowd, contributors can follow these steps:
- While adding a tribute, click “Suggest a Contributor”.
- Enter the email address of the person you’d like to invite.
- Click Submit Suggestion.
Once submitted:
- The card creator receives an email notification about the suggestion.
- The suggested contributor appears in the “The Crowd” section (Step 5 of card setup).
How the Card Creator Approves Suggestions
- The card creator receives an email with the suggested contributor’s details.
- In the 5th step of card setups (“The Crowd”), the card creator can see all suggested contributors.
- To approve, they click the yellow thumb icon next to the suggested email.
- If approved, the suggested contributor will receive an invitation email to join the card.
Note: At this time, there is no option to decline a suggestion.
Important Notes
- The “Allow Suggestions” setting must be enabled for this feature to be available.
- Only the card creator can approve suggested contributors.
- Suggested contributors do not automatically gain access—they must be manually approved.
